Things surfers ask.

Do I need to know how to surf?

No. The pool runs beginner sessions on whitewater and reform waves — you'll be up and riding on your first day with coaching.

What's the minimum age?

Kids' programs start at age 6.

How many waves do I get per session?

Session volume depends on the wave type and group size — typically 10–15 waves per 60-minute session.

Do I need to bring my own board?

Not required. The on-site surf shop has quality rental boards for every level and every wave type.

Can non-surfers watch?

Yes — comfortable viewing decks, a café, and a clubhouse. Spectators welcome and free.

Can I book just the pool, without a hotel package?

Yes. Standalone session booking is available. Trip packages combine the pool with accommodation, transfers, and support.

Learn to Surf

How to Reach Hainan

Fly into Sanya Phoenix International Airport (SYX) or Haikou Meilan (HAK). Direct flights from major Asian hubs. We handle your transfer to the resort — approximately 90 minutes of scenic coastal driving.

Do I need a visa to visit China?

Hainan offers visa-free entry for visitors from many countries for stays up to 30 days. We'll help you confirm your eligibility during trip planning.

Is it worth flying to China for this?

This is not just a wave pool — it's a full tropical destination trip. PerfectSwell® waves, premium accommodation, unique cultural experiences, and an island most travelers have never explored. Many guests tell us it was their most surprising and memorable surf trip.

What if I don't speak Chinese?

We handle everything in English. Your trip coordinator, airport pickup, and all communications are in English. We're also available via WhatsApp throughout your stay.

What if only one person in our group surfs?

Our packages are designed for exactly this. While the surfer is in the pool, non-surfers can enjoy the hotel pool, beach club, spa, Hainan exploration, or simply relax at the recovery suite.
